OTTAWA, ON, August 19, 2026

Four days of international show jumping brought many of the sport’s top athletes to Wesley Clover Parks for the 2026 RBC Ottawa International CSI4* CSI2*, highlighted by major victories for Adrienne Sternlicht of the United States, Ireland’s Conor Swail and Daniel Coyle, and Luxembourg’s Charlotte Bettendorf.

Friday brought two important qualifying classes to the grass Grand Prix field, and Conor Swail swept them both.

Currently ranked 27th in the world, Swail first piloted Nadal Hero & DB to victory in the US$31,020 Soltek CSI2* Qualifier before returning aboard Casturano to claim the US$62,500 Steel-Craft Door Products Ltd. CSI4* Qualifier.

The feature CSI4* Qualifier continued a long-standing partnership between Steel-Craft Door Products Ltd. and the Ottawa Equestrian Tournaments. A dedicated supporter of the tournaments and equestrian sport in Canada, Steel-Craft Door Products has helped make high-level competition possible at Wesley Clover Parks for many years. Their support also helped build the Steel-Craft ring, which served as the FEI warm-up ring throughout the RBC Ottawa International, expanding the venue’s ability to host international competition.

Saturday began with a second victory for Bettendorf and Million Pleasure in the US$6,800 BFL Canada CSI2* Speed before attention turned to the week’s marquee event, the US$185,000 CSI4* RBC Grand Prix.

In front of a packed crowd, Adrienne Sternlicht of the United States successfully defended her RBC Grand Prix title, this time aboard Faquitol-S. The victory continued an impressive run for Sternlicht in Ottawa after she swept both the CSI2* and CSI5* Grand Prix titles at Wesley Clover Parks in 2025.

Sternlicht was equally enthusiastic about returning to Ottawa and competing on the grass field. “I’m really excited to be here. We had a really good week here last year,” said Sternlicht. “It’s a beautiful facility; it’s really refreshing to be in the Canadian air and jump on grass. It’s a really horse-friendly environment here, the horses are super happy, there’s a lot of space to ride, and I think it’s just a refreshing change of pace.”

She added, “They always put a lot of effort into this show. It’s really nice to support a show that feels very boutique and family run.”

Sunday brought the international tournament to a close with two more victories for Ireland.

Daniel Coyle, currently ranked 20th in the world and a member of Team Ireland at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, claimed the US$35,000 CSI2* Canada Gold Grand Prix aboard Nord Face VDL for owner Ariel Grange.

Conor Swail and Casturano then closed out their remarkable week with victory in the US$31,100 CSI4* CIBC Wood Gundy Classic. The result gave the pair three wins from the four CSI4* classes offered in Ottawa.

Together, Swail and Coyle accounted for five international victories over four days of competition, making it a memorable week for Ireland in Ottawa.
