Eventing at The Parks Returns to Wesley Clover Parks for Second Year of International Competition
OTTAWA, ON - International eventing returns to Wesley Clover Parks from September 25 through 27 with Eventing at The Parks CCI2*-S CCI1* and the Eastern Canadian Eventing Championships.
Following the successful debut of Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) level eventing at Wesley Clover Parks in 2025, the event returns for a second year with international competition alongside national divisions from EV60 through EV110. The Eastern Canadian Eventing Championships will welcome qualifying riders from Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland & Labrador.
The return of international eventing once again makes Wesley Clover Parks the only venue in Canada to host international competition across all three Olympic equestrian disciplines: jumping, dressage and eventing.
New for 2026, FEI competitors will ride for $7,500 in prize money, generously sponsored by Foshay International, with $5,000 offered in the CCI2*-S and $2,500 in the CCI1*.
Foshay International’s Rob Stevenson brings firsthand experience developing international eventing competition in Canada and sees Wesley Clover Parks as well positioned to contribute to the sport’s future.
“The sport of eventing, especially at the international levels, needs the opportunity to develop at established venues where management, facilities, sponsors, officials, spectators, owners, volunteers, coaches, and athletes can come together to celebrate these incredible horses,” said Stevenson. “With its central location, outstanding facilities, and strong reputation as a multidisciplinary venue, I believe the continued development of FEI-sanctioned eventing at The Parks will be highly successful.”
Stressing the importance of investing in Canadian venues capable of supporting the sport from the grassroots through international levels, Stevenson added, “In short, no venues, no sport. I look forward to seeing eventing at Wesley Clover Parks become a destination fixture on the North American calendar.”
A key focus for 2026 remains continued investment in Canadian talent, not only among athletes but also officials. Wesley Clover Parks is committed to hiring and developing Canadian eventing officials, creating meaningful opportunities to strengthen and grow the pool of professionals in the sport.
Entries remain open through September 18.
FEI Level 3 course designer Jay Hambly returns to design the international cross-country tracks, while FEI Level 2 course designer Ian Roberts will design the national courses. The cross-country course at Wesley Clover Parks features two ditch complexes, three bank complexes and two water complexes, along with natural terrain and established features throughout the property.
The Laframboise Family Legacy Awards will also return for 2026. Presented in memory of Mary Anne and Guy Laframboise, the awards recognize Outstanding Adult Lifetime Contribution to Eventing in Canada, the Overall High Point Young Rider, and the Overall High Point Youth U18. Wesley Clover Parks extends its sincere thanks to the Laframboise family for their generosity and lifelong dedication to eventing in a region they have been deeply connected to for more than 50 years.
Eventing at The Parks and the Eastern Canadian Eventing Championships will take place alongside the Greenhawk Regional Finals on Sunday, September 27, bringing the Ottawa Valley’s Bronze hunter/jumper community together for its year-end championships. These concurrent championships bring together two disciplines united by their shared love of horses.
